After a 1 hour drive from Vegas up North to Coyote Springs, Amber and I arrived at 9:30am for tee time with my buddy Frank and his friends at Coyote Springs Golf Club. It is a very beautiful course similar to Cascata. The first hole is 1 mile drive in a golf cart from the club club. I scored a 96 and Amber got a 115. I had a lot of challenges on the course.
On my first 6 holes, I putt twice as much as it took me to get to the putting green.
On hole 7, I hit a hill and landed 1 foot short of the putting green into a sand trip.
Also, on hole 13, I drove and then took 1 stroke to get on the putting green, but it took me 3 strokes to get the ball in the hole.
I need to practice a lot more on putting and pitching. My pitching was somewhat off. I did very well with my drives, 7-iron, and 3-wood. Amber wants a new 3-wood for her bag as well after seeing how far I could hit with my 3-wood.
9,586 remain
Random stat: My confidence in my 7-iron and 3-wood is strong, and, although I am usually stronger at putting, I haven’t been practicing it as much so it wasn’t until my last 6 holes that I was really focused on getting my putting right; however, I did a great 10 yard put into the hole from one side of the green to the hole.
