As someone that has staff staying all year round at the MGM, I was able to reserve tee time for me and my friend Greg Meridith at the Shadow Creek Country Club, which is the private golf club only playable if you are staying at the MGM. It was an amazing course that requires you to arrive and depart via limo from the MGM Grand. On arrival, we met our caddy, Bernie, who is also a former PGA Golf Instructor. Since Greg is also the best player I’ve played with (other than my Instructor, Nick Helwig,), I also learned a lot from him as well. After warming up on the driving range and putting green, we played an amazing 18 holes. I shot 90% of my shots very well. I also learned a great trick. By adding chapstick to your driver or 3-wood, you can hit the ball super straight because it removes the spin of the ball; however, this is illegal in regulation play because you are changing the face of the club. 9,825 remain. Random stat: I shot 2 par’s, 5 bogie’s, and 7 double bogie’s with a score of 107 on one of the most difficult courses in Vegas.
