I went to CGCC 3 ties. Twice I went just to practices putting and chipping for an hour. The third time I played a round of golf for 9 holes with Amber. 9,504 remain Random stat: Amber and I are quite a bit rusty hitting about 10% more strokes than normal for taking so much time off, but I'm sure it will come back to us and we'll improve again. I spent an hour at Top Golf with both my side of the family (my parents in Las Vegas) and my wife's side of the family (in Salt Lake City) and it was a lot of fun, kind of like bowling, but with golf clubs. In addition, I went to Canyon Gate Country Club and played 9 holes with my intern Artem and also 9 hole with my friend Todd from Arizona. I also got to play 18 holes with Bill Walsh and a couple of his friends at Bear's Best. I'd play more, but a few of the days I arrived at CGCC, it was closed due to tournament or they closed early due to rain. 9,508 remain. Random stat: During my recent last couple posts, I didn't really share much stats because I haven't been playing as Continue Reading …
June 18-September 18, 2016
I practiced for a few hours at Canyon Gate Country Club this summer, but it was very hot so I didn't play too much. Would have played more at CGCC, but it was closed in September for re-seeding. I did get to play 9 holes with Amber in Mesquite at Falcon Ridge and also 9 holes with Mikhail at Bear's Best in Las Vegas. 9,520 remain. Continue Reading …

I went with a videographer to Cloud 9 at the Angel Park Golf Course to practice my short game on an Executive Course. The videographer Marcus recorded all my tee shots, which I am going to review later today. We played night golf starting around 6pm, but it was still 100 degrees fahrenheit. Finished after 8pm when it started to cool down. 9,526 remain Random stat: Made some great shots from the tees onto the greens and much improved since the last time I played an Executive Golf Course, especially since my distance and calibration is sharper. Continue Reading …
May 12-June 16, 2016
My business partner came to Las Vegas for business meetings and we decided to go to Top Golf for their public grand opening. I went with Joey, Luis, Dongki, Kevin, Mark, Luke, and Owen. It was a lot of fun and I was able to negotiate a deal with the head sales concierge for a reservation in their chairman's cabana, which had a pool, bar, and several couches so that we could play over steak, sushi, and drinks. It really got me into the golf mood. So I organized a round at Reflections Bay for date night with my wife, Amber, and we played the back 9 holes of the course, which was exciting because last time I only played the front 9 holes, and I wanted to share the beautiful lake views with Continue Reading …

In addition to a couple days practicing at Canyon Gate for putting, pitching, sand trap, and range work, I also traveled to Florida and played golf at the Breakers Hotel's 2 courses in Palm Beach. One was a Rees Jones course, where I scored 104 and the others was a much more narrow Ocean Course, where I scored a 108. Both of which I played with my good friend and attorney, Luis. It was some of the most fun and perfect weather golf I played all year. We also celebrated Cinco de Mayo afterwards with Margaritas. Luis is a fun sport to play with and we drink beers while playing. Also, the pace of play was a bit slow at Rees Jones so the golf pro gave us both a free round to use in the future. Continue Reading …
April 22-30, 2016
I had a Sunday round of golf with Joey, Luis, and Mike at Dragon Ridge, where I shot a 94 and played overall well with some great puts. A few days later on Thursday, I played a round with Luis at Shadow Creek. It was very rainy so we almost canceled, but the sun came out and we were able to finish 18 holes. We had a fun caddy named Stick. This is still a very difficult course. I shot 100-110, but didn't remember my exact score. 9,559 remain. Random stat: My Thursday round is the first round of golf that I recorded on a scorecard, but forgot to take a photo so I didn't get my exact score, which is fine since Shadow Creek is not a recordable course on GHIN. Continue Reading …

Today, I went to play Bear's Best with Mark and ran into Kevin Park and invited him to join us. We ended up playing 18 holes. It was an awesome day for golf. The course was being worked on and the greens were slower than normal. However, it was quite an awesome experience. We also drank some beers during the last 3 holes. Mark said today's experience convinced him to join Club Corp to play Bear's Best and Canyon Gate regularly. I think that's great so I now have a more regular friend to play golf. As my swing coach outside of Butch Harmon School, Kevin said that my game-play was like watching night and day since the last time he coached me. I had few misses and I didn't have any real misses Continue Reading …

Well, it is now 1 year since I started posting on the blog. On April 19, I played my first non-rookie year round of golf of 3 hours for 18 holes at Canyon Gate Country Club with Mark and Mike (the membership director). 9,573 remain. Random stat: I shot a 105. Continue Reading …
March 18-April 7, 2016
I was sick with the flu for much of this time period; however, I did have time to play golf for part of it. On March 18, I met up with Frank Pacific's friends and I bought Dan Gattis, who is a phenomenal player that can hit the ball very far, over 300 yards with his 3 wood. I played very well and had a great time. However, at night, I started getting sick. After a couple weeks, I was a bit better and finally recovered. Amber and I went to Salt Lake City and I played 9 holes with Kim, where I shot a 52 and Kim shot a 54. This was at Forest Dale Golf Course. Also, I spent an hour putting and on the range myself, and then spent an additional hour on the range and putting with my Continue Reading …
