I made a last minute decision to go to Bear's Best today and I played from 2pm-7pm and got matched with a couple of guys from Atlanta. It was a very perfect day for golf to relax from business and personal travel from last weekend. I played very good overall because my ball was flying very nicely on most shots and I drove pretty well on a lot of shots as well. My putting was off because it was very fast greens and I did not have time to warm-up. On the other hand, even though I only got par once, I got a lot of bogies and double bogies. One thing I want to also point out is that I was entering my scores from the last week into GHIN today and when I attempted to enter my score for Continue Reading …

I went to Badlands with Amber and Kevin Park and hit balls on the range for 2-3 hours. Also, on Thursday, March 10, I played 18 holes at Canyon Gate Country Club with Tannon Grace. I got a birdie on one of the holes. There was a tournament that did a shot-gun start so we had to get from a 11am start time to hole 15 by 2pm in order to avoid the tournament. We made it to hole 16 by 2pm. On Saturday, March 12, I went with Kim and Suri to Mulligan's Golf and hit the driving range and putting green. We also played the first 5 holes of their Executive Course, which was a combination of par 3/4 holes. We made it out before the rain after practicing for 3 hours, which was great preparation for Continue Reading …

Amber and I went to Miami for a week and, while we were out there, we played 18 holes at the Trump National Doral on the famous Blue Monster Course. It was setup for a Championship golf tournament and was in perfect play condition. We didn't really keep an accurate score of play, but it was approximately around 100-110 for each of us. We hadn't played golf in a very long time and we were pretty rusty at first, but we warmed up along the way. One of the challenges we faced is that we didn't have any practice time on the range. 9,611 remain. Random stat: Amber had an amazing chip over a sand bunker and onto the green that rolled into the hole at about a 80 yard distance and it Continue Reading …
January 10-February 14, 2016
Amber and I went to DC/Maryland in January. While we were out there, I spent a couple hours on the driving range at Pine Ridge Golf Course. Originally, I had planned to play a round there, but it was raining hard; however, fortunately, there was an opportunity to play the range with cover. When I returned to Vegas, I spent time practicing with Dongki and his golf coach team at Badlands a few times. Amber got to use her new clubs there with us as well. Also, I played and practiced on the range with my friends Shawn, Masjo, and Frank at Canyon Gate Country Club. I played 7 holes with Shawn and 14 holes with Frank. In addition, I did a lot of workout training with Dongki at the Continue Reading …
December 5-January 9, 2016
I haven't been posting regularly in the last month so I am going to write a combination post of the month. For the holidays, Amber found a golf group-on deal that gave us a Golf USA package that offers 10-20 different courses to choose from for 4-somes with 5-10 tickets for $100-200 each. Considering this is the same price of 1 round of golf for a small group, we purchased 3 of these. Amber and I took advantage of the offer to play 9 holes at Palm Valley. Also, my friend, Dan McLaughlin, came to Las Vegas with a buddy of his and we used the passes to play golf at Stallion Mountain Golf Club. In addition, Dan, his friend, and I also played 9 holes at Canyon Gate Country Club. These were Continue Reading …

Worked out with Dongki for a couple hours for 5 days and also spent an hour with Vic at Butch Harmon School. A lot of the time with Dongki was spent on a machine at the 2nd floor of City Athletic Club that has a bunch of cables. I focused on weight shifting and the upward part of my swing and release motions. Dongki also helped teach Amber how to cook healthy Asian food and provided his own recipes as well. We also spent a lot of practice time on the range and I was told I've made a lot of improvements. 9,650 remain. Random stat: At the practice range, I drove over 250 years 4x in the session of practicing about a dozen swings; however, most of my practices was with my irons. Continue Reading …
November 19-22, 2015
I took 3 days off and relaxed and studied for the LSAT with a practice test, and then spent a couple hours with Dongki and Amber at Canyon Gate's driving range. 9,661 remain. Random stat: My average drive was pretty close to 200 yards. Continue Reading …
November 15-18, 2015
On November 16, I spent a couple hours training with Dongki whereby Dongki had me practice my swing with a bar focusing on shifting my weight to my front leg. The back-swing I was doing was good, but I used a machine with light weights and twisted my body while doing a golf swing and weight transfer. On November 17, Amber and I went to the Taylormade Experience Center and Amber did a high performance custom fitting while I did a quick one. Dongki was with us analyzing our swing. Amber really liked the M1 driver. Afterwards, we went downstairs to the range and practiced. On November 18, Amber and I played the Wynn for tee time at 8:30am. We arrived at the driving range and Will Smith Continue Reading …

Amber and I returned to the Butch Harmon School of Golf for another awesome experience. Although I’ve had a bit of pain in my joints on my left hand, my shoulder and hand pain was minimal. I was concerned that it would increase, but the coaches at Butch Harmon School helped by creating several solutions that helped prevent this and also some great tips. It’s always a great honor to play and learn from Butch Harmon. There are several great lessons I learned from Butch Harmon School’s 2 day courses, but the big top 10 take-aways are: First of all, I learned how to properly hit out of the sand for short shots by keeping my club face open, staying low to the ground, doing a full swing, Continue Reading …
October 27-November 12, 2015
With 4 days of regular training with Dongki, and 4 days of golf at Pebble Beach, I have started to see a lot of improvement. My wife bought me a trip to play the 4 courses affiliated with Pebble Beach Resorts for a birthday present along with lodgings at the hotels near each 1. It was an epic experience. Day 1: November 2 After a night at the Hyatt (home of the Del Monte Golf Club), it was raining all morning and we considered canceling, but the managers of Pebble Beach said the rain would stop in time for the tee time at 12:30pm. By 12pm, the rain stopped and we had clear skies for the rest of the week. We had lunch at the Pebble Beach restaurant next to the golf shop and played Continue Reading …
